Bitfinex Pay has announced its latest update, version 0.7.5, to the Merchant Dashboard, a key tool that provides merchants with robust features and reports for managing their cryptocurrency payment gateways, according to blog.bitfinex.com.
Enhancements in the Merchant Dashboard
The update introduces significant improvements, particularly following the recent Polygon Ecosystem Token upgrade. The changes include continued support for MATIC on Ethereum, the removal of MATIC from the mainnet wallet menu, and the addition of Polygon Ecosystem Tokens for both Ethereum and Polygon networks. These tokens can now be used for accepting payments in invoices.
In addition, the update addresses several usability issues. An "Insufficient Funds" error is now clearly displayed in the New Payout flow, and there have been updates to the text in the Invoice Details menu to clarify refund policies for expired invoices. Furthermore, the legacy tipping feature has been removed as part of the Pulse project phase-out.
Additional Improvements and Fixes
Other notable changes include the removal of BTC from POS Checkout due to its lengthy blockchain confirmation time. The update also introduces clearer instructions for POS checkout creation and error messages for excessive expiration times, with a new cap of 30 minutes for POS invoice expiration.
Additionally, tooltips have been added to the Manual Invoice Generator, and the Payouts payment flow has been redesigned for a more transparent transaction summary. The Settings menu has undergone improvements, including clearer feature descriptions and the relocation of Thresholds settings to the Invoice Customisation menu.
The update also includes fixes for "Payouts" feature fee calculations, a malfunctioning address copy button, and several design issues affecting user tags, recipient menus, and balance calculations.
End Customer Payment Flow and Demo Dashboard
The end customer payment flow has received minor design enhancements, including the removal of redundant dropdown buttons when only one token is available. Additionally, missing translations have been added for the Metamask network switch button, and error messages have been updated for reused 2FA codes.
The demo dashboard has also been updated to reflect the Polygon Ecosystem upgrade, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
