Billionaire investor and Shark Tank judge, Mark Cuban has confirmed that Kamala Harris’ campaign was against “regulation through litigation.” He also appreciated SEC Chair Gary Gensler’s intense grilling by legislators on his stance on cryptocurrencies, calling him a ‘blight’ on the tech community
On Tuesday, Cuban shared a video where Gensler was seen cross-examined by Representative Ritchie Torres (D-N.Y.) at the House Financial Services Committee hearing.
In the video, Torres asked Gensler if there is a difference between buying a Yankees ticket that gives access to a sporting event and buying a NFT that can be used for an animated web series as per Federal securities regulations. Gensler couldn’t come up with a response.
I talked to the Harris team today who told me in no uncertain terms that they are against “regulation through litigation “
CYA Gensler.

In another video posted by Cuban , Chairman Patrick McHenry was seen pressing Chair Gensler on the SEC‘s record of regulatory uncertainty. Cuban commented, “Gary Gensler is a blight on the technology community. He says Howey is the law of the land. If it was, there never would be a reason for Reves vs Ernst &Young to exist”.
Cuban’s remark on Kamala Harris’s stance on cryptocurrency is significant as crypto industry insiders recently revealed that Kamala Harris is highly ‘unlikely’ to elaborate on crypto policy before elections, and her support for crypto can’t be trusted.
